Midlife Memoirs

A creative writing series that explores the joy of personal narrative

Midlife is a season ripe for meaning-making. A time when we find ourselves looking to the past and to prior versions of ourselves. Who were we then? Who are we now? Who have we become along the way?

In this 6-week series, you’ll:

  • Mine memories for meaning

  • Write to a variety of prompts designed to spark new connections

  • Explore themes of identity and belonging; love and loss; change and transformation

  • Start shaping the stories that have shaped you

  • Experience the joy of having your strengths highlighted in the affirmative Amherst Writers and Artists (AWA) method of giving feedback

All with other women who are walking their own unique path through midlife.

No matter where you are on the writer’s path—from beginner to experienced—you are so welcome here.
